Virginia Union University is a private historically black university (HBCU) founded in 1865 and located in Richmond, Virginia. The institution provides undergraduate and graduate education on its 86-acre campus. In the 2024 edition of U.S. News & World Report, it ranked #39 among Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
The university offers 35 Bachelor's degrees, 11 Master's degrees, and one Doctoral degree. Its academic focus centers on liberal arts and graduate education for Christian ministries.
