Relay Technologies is building a tech-enabled hyperlocal delivery network designed to replace traditional hub-and-spoke logistics models. The company's system uses proprietary algorithms and real-time data to move parcels with fewer touchpoints, aiming to make e-commerce delivery faster and more scalable. Its approach targets a structural inefficiency in how goods reach consumers, particularly for items where high delivery costs have historically limited online sales.
The company's Hyperlocal Delivery Network claims to cut delivery emissions by up to 60% compared to conventional methods. Founded on deep technical expertise, Relay has assembled a team of roughly 90 people, with more than half in engineering, product, and data roles. The team includes over 45 advanced degrees spanning computer science, mathematics, and operations research.
Relay raised $35 million in what was described as Europe's largest-ever logistics Series A. The company operates in the e-commerce logistics and delivery sectors, applying algorithmic and data-driven approaches to last-mile delivery challenges.
