Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) is the largest independent medical oncology and hematology practice in the United States. Founded in 1984, the organization provides cancer care and conducts clinical research across nearly 100 locations throughout Florida. Its team comprises over 250 physicians and 220 nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
FCS operates one of the nation's largest clinical research programs through a strategic partnership with Sarah Cannon. The practice offers more clinical trials than any private oncology practice in Florida and frequently leads the country in initiating research studies. In the past five years, the majority of new cancer drugs approved for use in the U.S. were studied in clinical trials with FCS participation prior to their approval.
The organization has been recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) with a national Clinical Trials Participation Award. Its core technical domains are medical oncology, hematology, and clinical research.
